FIRST FLOOR ...
Upon entering the chalet on the first floor, you have an open plan living, dining and kitchen area which benefits from a south-west facing balcony, perfect for enjoying the views of St Martin de Belleville. The living area has a cosy, alpine feel with warm wood featuring throughout, and a traditional fireplace in the centre. On this floor you will also find a separate shower room and toilet, and what is currently a workshop space, which has the potential to become another bedroom or ‘snug area’.
SECOND FLOOR ...
As you ascend to the second floor of the property you will find 3 good sized double bedrooms, a fourth smaller bedroom and a double shower room equipped with two showers, as well as a separate toilet. On the top floor there are 2 further large twin bedrooms, nestled under the eaves. The property also boasts a double garage on the ground floor, a cellar and an additional large workshop area which again could be transformed into habitable living quarters. On the ground floor of the chalet, there is also a small independent studio measuring approximately 18sqm equipped with a kitchenette and shower room.
Given its sleeping capacity and spacious living areas, as well as its location near the lifts in the ever popular ski resort village of St Martin with a modern lift system linking to the largest ski area in the world - the Three Valleys, this chalet makes for a fantastic investment opportunity with huge potential. The chalet had a traditional, well-maintained decor which could also be refurbished into a more modern style and finish.
The village itself is a beautiful, authentic Savoyard village with an impressive collection of restaurants, and an all-year round community thanks to the variety of both winter and summer activities on offer both here and throughout the Belleville valley in which it sits.
The village itself is sunny and traditional, pre-dating the skiing by centuries! There are many locals who live here all year round, both French families who have lived here for generations and a sizeable ex-pat community, meaning you can easily either dip in and out of the community whilst holidaying or live here permanently.
During the summer months, when the village erupts into a floral haven, there are many activities to be undertaken, from mountain biking to via ferrata to glorious mountain walks – suitable for all ages. Of course the road biking opportunities are almost endless too, and the valley is great for families with a variety of children’s activities.
For accessing the ski resort village, Moutiers is just 20km down the mountain road and with it the TGV/Eurostar terminal (during the winter), and the airports of Geneva (182km) and Lyon (181km) are also within striking distance (approx. 2 hours).
